Since I finished my last job on 21 July 2010, I have been "wasting time". The first week, I pretty much didn't leave my bed or the lounge. I went for a walk with some girlfriends who were pretty frank with me, and told me that since I was no longer working, I should be going to the gym everyday and getting fit again.
I was working for an Occupational Rehabilitation company (getting people back to work after an injury) which was about an hours drive from home. It's pretty tough work, and I was spending over 10 hours per day there. I was so exhausted every day that I wasn't looking after myself, not sleeping and not eating properly and most definitely not exercising. After far too long, I gave my notice. I still miss everyone there, but at the same time, I felt a huge weight lift off my shoulders.
So it's time to make a list of all of the things that I need to get done.
1. Apply for a couple of OT positions that I've been meaning to apply for.
2. Get our apartment sorted and tidied, room by room.
3. Finish my giant quilt 8 x 8 feet (pictures to come soon!)
4. Start a new crochet project - I want to make a granny square blanket, but can't remember how. Mum always started me off when I was younger and I never stitched any squares together.
5. Improve my culinary skills - right now I'm making strawberry and watermelon sorbet!!!
That should do it for now. I'll leave you with a picture from the day that we found the gardens that we ended up having our wedding in.
